Healthwatch Community Engagements February and March

The Healthwatch team will be at a number of Community Engagements in February and March, where service users and members of the public will have an opportunity to come along and tell Healthwatch about their experiences, good or bad, of Health & Social Care Services across Cumbria. Witherslack Listening Project

News

We would like to introduce to you our new “Witherslack Listening Project” for the village as we seek to discover many stories of yesteryear (and also of more recent history) about Witherslack, Meathop and Ulpha and make some audio recordings for posterity.
We would like to explore people’s memories of all the aspects of our village: the Church; the school; farming; the shops from the past; the Girls Friendly Society; any war memories; the sports from the past; the WI; Dean Barwick Trust; Brownies; Hunting; the story of our Community Shop; the Derby Arms; the Parish Hall; the Constance Cottage Surgery, etc.

Abi & Tom's Garden Plants at Halecat reopens in February

Gardening courses available to book now

As another season tentatively approaches, we're getting the nursery ready to open its gates from mid-February. The autumn/winter has been an industrious one, extending our growing area with another tunnel to improve the conditions for our shade loving plants and make use of our new irrigation system.
