St Paul's Church

St Pauls is a delightful little church here in Witherslack which remains open for visitors everyday. As a result of a legacy from John Barwick, a Witherslack man, who became Dean of St. Paul’s in 1662, the church was built. It is a fine example of a mid-seventeenth century village church, with the later additions of pews and organ.
There is a service every Sunday alternating between mornings and evenings and generally we follow the monthly pattern of services below, but there are occasional variations. Any special services will be posted on here to keep you up to date. Our parish priest is Rev'd. 1st Sunday of Month - 9.30am Holy Communion (CW)
2nd Sunday of Month - 10.00am Family Service
3rd Sunday of Month - 9.30am Holy Communion (BCP or CW)
4th Sunday of Month - 6.30pm Evensong (BCP) (4.00pm Oct - Feb)
(If there are 5 Sundays in the month then there is usually only one service in one of the parishes cared for by our parish priest - so check the Notices in the church porch before hand).
