Deck the Halls at Halecat 
Tuesday 3rd December, 2pm to 8pm
Wednesday 4th December, 10am to 3pm 
Halecat House in Witherslack is hosting two days of Christmas cheer in an atmosphere of open log fires, mulled wine and mince pies where visitors can meet the Halecat artists and crafts-people and purchase a range of unique, hand-crafted gifts to suit all pockets.

Halecat House in Witherslack is hosting two days of Christmas cheer in an atmosphere of open log fires, mulled wine and mince pies where visitors can meet the Halecat artists and crafts-people and purchase a range of unique, hand-crafted gifts to suit all pockets.

The House will be decked with Christmas decorations and, on Wednesday, music from the Harper Three will add to the festive mood. The event will be a social occasion, as well as a relaxed opportunity to browse and buy those special gifts.
 
Building on the success and popularity of last year’s evening event, Deck the Halls 2013 will be hosted over two days, with more stallholder artisans and an even wider range of gifts and Christmas treats.

Event artists and crafts-people include:
 
Silver Forge – Silversmith and jewellery designer, Jo Dix, will be displaying her latest jewellery range.

Fiona Clucas – Fine artist displaying original paintings, drawings and limited edition signed prints featuring wildlife and landscape subjects. Also printed and original greetings cards, and hand painted butterfly brooches.

Brian Fereday – Exhibiting products crafted from willow and recyled wood, including trugs for garden and home, plus a range of specie-specific nesting boxes.

Beaulea’s Cake Studio – Selling a Christmas goodies.

Jane Bradley – Demonstrations and sales of Christmas wreaths crafted from willow, red dogwood, pine cones and willow stars, trimmed with holly and ivy. Woven baskets for sale.

Stephanie Conway – Nuno felting, and hand-painted silk gifts including scarves, earrings, Christmas keep-sake baubles, greetings cards and kiddies’ festive badges.

Moss Howe Farm Foods – Damson jam, syrups, jelly and chutney. Caroline King (Brightbeck) – Batik pictures and fabrics.

Theaceramics – Thea Rogers will be displaying a range of ceramic vases and decorations for sale.Witherslack Community Shop – Offering a selection of Fair Trade gifts. Shop staff will also be holding the evening’s raffle.

Witherslack Hall Equestrian Centre ­­– Learn about the facilities and activities offered by the centre, with the chance to buy horse-riding gift vouchers.

Ramshackle Shed – Jules Evans gives neglected household objects a new lease of life. Renovated items and furniture pieces for sale.

Four Pence Café and Shop (previously Hat Trick) – oils, vinegars

Jacqueline Dobson – Jewellery created from murano glass formed into beads over an open flame, and using sterling silver findings.

Judy Evans – Silkscreen printed bags and wall hangings, plus original paintings and cards.

Abi & Tom’s Garden Plants – Orders taken for spring-planting fruit trees, plus details of 2014 gardening courses.

Cowmire Hall – Damson gin and Christmas puddings.

Artigiano Glass ­ – Bespoke fused glassware by Diane Rowlinson.

DJ Roodhuyzen & David Hollingsworth – Christmas trees made from driftwood.

Ingrid’s – Muffins, cookies and sweets.

Agnes Rose – hand made fruit vinegars and herb infused oils

More? The Artisan Bakery — artisan breads, seasonal desserts and patisserie.

Stuart Bricklebank – stained and leaded glass

About Halecat:This beautiful complex includes Halecat House and gardens built in the early late Georgian period, ancient woodlands and pasture designated an SSSI, the wood yard with its sustainable biomass heating project and wood fuel sales, the garden nursery, and small businesses based in our workshops.
 
This event is being held to promote the Witherslack Estate, its facilities, the businesses operating from its workshops and their friends.
