We had loads of compliments from riders and organisers and many of the cyclists said they would be passing on their experience to fellow cyclists. There were loads of photos being taken by all sorts of people - so we will no doubt go viral very soon!
One of my initial intentions from last year was to make sure the shop was on the map and info on the BCW - yesterday we got some of the first copies of the official map - see here - and there we are - and as far as I can see we are the only shop marked on the 100 mile route! It does also say we have public toilets - so not sure where they got that from, but hopefully the Derby Arms can help out as necessary - at least it will attract in the cyclists to ask us.
The organisers were keen to get their "ticks in the box" as benefiting the local community and would love any feedback over the coming months/years as to whether our cyclist visits increase - think it will only be fingers in the air, but just a thought to keep in mind in case anyone asks in the future. Hopefully, we do get more business like this from outside the local community, it could be a major source of growth for the future
