New Bay Cycleway opening - 11-14 June

The opening of the new Bay Cycleway takes place between 11 and 14 June - (see here for details) and the riders will be stopping briefly in Witherslack outside the shop/pub on Saturday 13 June at around 10.30am.  
It would be great to see a few people there to welcome the riders - bring the kids and perhaps ride along the old road with the 30/35 cyclists.

Led-ride DAY 3 Itinerary Grange to Silverdale

• Depart from Park Road Gardens
• Stop off at Witherslack Community Shop
• Levens Hall
• A gentle pedal to Arnside along the marsh road and Sandside Road for stunning views of the estuary and AONB.
• Reception at Arnside 
• Leighton Moss RSPB Nature Reserve – for an optional walk and talk
• Those camping at Silver Sapling will continue the journey to the campsite

Local businesses are promoting Witherslack as a cycle-friendly village and we hope to see more cyclists stopping over in the village in the next few years, on any of the three long-distance cycle paths (Bay Cycleway, Walney to Wear coast to coast, Cumbria Cycleway) or other local cycle routes (see here).
